The detection systems are factory calibrated to provide a warning at 1% hydrogen level and an alarm once hydrogen accumulates to 2%. These pre-determined levels are ideal for monitoring beneath the lower flammability levels of hydrogen and represent 25% and 50% of the LFL, respectively. Both the warning and alarm levels trigger audible and visual alarms as well as actuation of relays to control or signal systems external to the detection system.
Calibration life of a gas sensor is always dependent upon the environment in which it is operated. NTM Sensors provides a list of Operational Guidelines in the owner’s manual that will help to prolong the calibration life of your detection system. We recommend an annual calibration check for your detection systems in order to ensure that the system is operating properly. The calibration kit can be used to both verify operation of the detection system as well as recalibrate the system when necessary.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][product id=”3809″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”5346″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]NTM SenseH2® Calibration Kits are available at ntmsensors.com and provide everything needed to verify operation of your detection system and calibrate your alarm level. If you want to calibrate your warning level, then you will need to additionally source a canister of 1%H2/air calibration gas which is compatible with the hardware that comes with the calibration kit.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Calibrations can be completed in three easy steps:
- Connect the calibration gas to your sensor.
- Start the flow of gas.
- Adjust the calibration screws on the top of the alarm panel until the alarm sounds.
